It has been a long time since I posted and I have been going through some considerable 'downsizing' over the last 3 years as I try to focus on what I would like to play. All to often I have found that I have to do some compromising (as do we all) and play gaming systems that others will play rather than a game system set at a level that I feel should be available. We are truly a collective of individualists who all look at battle and military history through their own unique 'lens'.
I have been trying out the Twilight of The Sun King rules series with various success (and with better success learning and playing against some opponents than others).
We also have spurned all DBA, DBX, DBA-RRR, DBM and DBANYTHING as the system never was useful and remains broken.
What to do then with our forces remaining after downsizing? That remains a question.
Perhaps a campaign is needed to blend several games together in a series to relight interest?
That will be next year's goal.
